Spanish for Teachers

Goals of the Course

If you are a non-native Spanish teacher:

  • The essential thing is that you have the opportunity to reflect on your professional work in Spanish language. It is a great opportunity to practice the language, deepen your knowledge and use of the language
  • Normally, non-native teachers give Spanish classes in their mother tongue. With us you will learn how to teach a class completely in Spanish to students of different nationalities

It doesn’t matter if you are a native speaker or not:

  • Discover different Spanish teaching contexts, from private academies to compulsory education institutes and universities
  • Obtain information about new resources and teaching methods to complement and improve your work
  • The course is both theoretical and practical and you, as a participant, will not only be able to update your knowledge but also reflect on your own educational experiences and exchange ideas with the other participants
  • Share the experience of being in Tenerife with professionals who love their work and enjoy it as much as our students do

My name is Haridian and I have been a teacher of Spanish as a foreign language since 2019. I studied Spanish: Language and Literature at university and I studied a Master’s Degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. I am also an accredited examiner for the DELE exams at all levels. Currently, I teach face-to-face classes, although online teaching is my passion.
