SIELE is the “Servicio Internacional de Evaluación de la Lengua Española” (International Assessment Service for the Spanish Language). It certifies electronically the command of the Spanish language proficiency for students and professionals.
Our Academy in Puerto de la Cruz operates as an official SIELE examination centers.
What Is the SIELE Exam About?
SIELE is a multi-level exam. This means that each task in each test presents a different degree of difficulty. This determines the candidate’s proficiency level from level A1 to level C1 according to the CEFR.
The good thing about SIELE is that the whole registration process and even the exam itself is performed electronically. That makes it fast and easy to register for the exam, take the test and finally receive your results.
The SIELE examination is modular, so you can decide if you want to take the complete exam (SIELE Global) or just some of the tests (S1 – S5).
SIELE Global
The SIELE Global exam consists of 4 tests that correspond to the four language communication skills. It is the most complete modality to certify your level of Spanish proficiency.

Independent Modalities
The independent SIELE modalities (S1 – S5) are different combinations of the four communication skills of the Global exam. They only certify your Spanish language level of the communication part of your choice.

The registration and payment is straight forward through https://siele.org/reservas.
The registration process involves 4 steps:
- Choose the type of exam you wish to take.
- Select the country in which would like to take the exam.
- Choose the available exam centre and the day for your test.
- Complete the reservation form with all required information. Print it and bring it together with your stated identification document to the exam centre on the day of your SIELE exam. You will need to present your information to the examiner.
