Fiestas en honor a la Virgen de Candelaria

Considered the patroness of the Canary Islands, The Virgen of Candelaria holds great cultural and religious significance. Due to its attachment to the people and its link to the Guanche world, the Fiesta de la Candelaria is considered one of the most important religious and cultural festivals on the island.

Various religious and cultural events, including processions, concerts, dances, and traditional performances are taking place in Candelaria, mainly held in the Basilica and the Plaza de la Patrona de Canarias. Pilgrims from all over the Canary Islands and beyond come to Candelaria to participate in the celebrations and pay their respects to the Virgen de Candelaria.
