Exodus and Return of the Tenerife Guanche Mummies
The Tenerife Museum of Nature and Archaeology (MUNA) is introducing a new exhibition module showing the location and tracing the history of scattered archaeological vestiges. Since the European conquest in the late fifteenth century, the Guanche mummies have been the objects of pillage and plunder. Valuable specimens ended up in distant lands. This module shows five of these mummies recently brought back to the island.
